Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist

Full-time, Permanent

Location: Bastrop, LA

Join Drax in our mission toward a zero-carbon, sustainable future! We are looking for a dependable Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist ready to make a positive impact in our production facility.

Your Role:

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining our electrical and instrumentation systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Inspecting, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.

Identifying abnormalities through meter, indicator, and gauge inspections.

Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of operating software and hardware.

Conducting preventative maintenance inspections for all control instrumentation.

Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.

Completing work order cycles and documenting equipment history.

Diagnosing issues with plant electrical equipment.

Performing cleaning, lubrication, calibration, and adjustments as necessary.

Laying out, installing, and commissioning electrical equipment.

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Utilizing a multi-craft skill set to undertake additional maintenance tasks as needed.

Who We Are Looking For:

Ideal candidates will have:

A high school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree is preferred.

5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Skills in maximizing production and minimizing downtime through maintenance.

Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), including Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo, and Frequency Drives.

A professional attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.

A commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean environment.

The willingness to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
