Job Description
As an Extrusion Machine Operator, you will operate compounding extrusion machines used to extrude polymer. Your role will also involve becoming cross-functional in other areas and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will be responsible for setting up by loading and unloading spools of material from the machines and assisting packagers with packaging cartridges while the machines are running. Regular lifting of up to 20 lbs and periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs is required.
Responsibilities
Operate compounding extrusion machines to extrude polymer.
Become cross-functional in other areas to support operations.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Load and unload spools of material from machines.
Assist packagers with packaging cartridges while machines are operational.
Lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs periodically.Essential Skills
Experience operating extrusion machines.
Ability to operate single screw extrusion machines independently.
Proficiency in production and machine operation.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and controlled within a manufacturing setting. Candidates will be required to wear a respirator and suit as part of the personal protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
