What You’ll Do
In this position, you will review contract submissions from county child support agencies for accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations. You will review contract budgets and monthly expense reports to determine whether costs are reasonable and allowable for federal reimbursement. You will also act as a liaison between the Office of Child Support and its statewide contract vendors, and process vendor invoices for payment.
Day-to-Day you will:
· Procure and renew statewide contracts and grants
· Manage statewide contracts to ensure expenses are paid and deliverables are met
· Review contract submissions from county child support agencies for accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations
· Recommend content revisions to contracts
· Scrutinize contract budgets for reasonableness
· Enter data about costs, services, acceptances, and rejections into Microsoft Excel and various other software systems
· Monitor monthly expense reports for adherence to contract budgets
· Determine if costs are reasonable and allowable for federal reimbursement
· Submit vendor invoices for payment
· Troubleshoot and resolve fiscal matters
· Meet with counties and vendors to discuss contractual matters, answer questions, or provide technical assistance
· Analyze statistical data for trends, discrepancies, and outliers
· Collaborate with a team
· Work independently
Challenges:
You will work under tight deadlines, deal with complex financial and contractual matters, and be readily available for vendors and county child support agencies.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM, with the possibility of an approved flex schedule after the probationary period depending on operational need.
Travel:
There may be times when traveling outside of your headquartered office is needed, but it will not exceed 10-15 percent of your working time. Overnight travel is rarely required, but individual projects may require flexible working hours. ODJFS Fleet vehicles are available for travel use. In order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license.

Pay Information
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA Pay Schedule, Pay Range 30. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $24.66 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
