Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales operations of a defined geographic area. This includes managing a team of sales representatives, developing sales strategies, meeting sales targets, and building strong relationships with key customers and channel partners. The ASM plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed targets in the assigned territory.
Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Officers/Representatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
Ensure effective coverage of territory, distribution management, and product placement.
Regularly review sales performance of team members and provide feedback/training.
Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns and brand visibility.
Analyze sales data and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
Ensure adherence to company policies, credit guidelines, and compliance protocols.
Identify new market opportunities and expand the customer base.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
4–7 years of proven sales experience, preferably in [industry].
