Job Title : Plant HR Manager
Reports to (Title) : ER Head – India
Job Purpose
To support and deliver HR, ER and Admin functions for the entire plant. The Role holder will be a key enabler of Culture change, Ethics Champion and required to drive the people function in a most modern and progressive manner.
Principal Accountabilities
Oversee general administration and plant monitoring, including security, transportation, housekeeping, and gardening, through professional vendors ensuring full legal compliance.
Partner with HR & ER at the plant level.
Manage payroll for employees, retainers, team leaders, and contract workers.
Lead training and development activities, including conducting an annual training needs assessment, creating, and executing the training plan.
Handle HR operations and transactions for the plant.
Track and ensure timely compliance with all applicable legal and statutory requirements.
Oversee manpower planning and budgeting processes.
Manage union relations, including collective bargaining for long-term wage agreements, monthly meetings, and grievance handling.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as government authorities and external union leaders.
Address plant discipline issues, such as chronic absenteeism and employee misconduct.
Coordinate employee welfare activities, including the provision of uniforms and canteen services.
Coordinate health and safety initiatives at the plant.
Manage legal cases, work with advocates, and lead cases to successful resolution.
Administer contract labor management, including order preparation, attendance verification, bill processing, and salary disbursement.
Oversee security management, daily verification of gate reports, records checks, and addressing disciplinary actions from security frisking.
Coordinate head office HR initiatives, including recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement activities.
Knowledge, Competencies and Key Behaviours Required
The candidate should have post-graduation education in the field of Human resources, Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (MSW or MBA in HR).
Should have minimum 10 to 12 years’ experience in HR & IR field
Knowledge of Local language to read, write and speak.
Excellent communication skills
Should be from good manufacturing organizations like Textile companies, Engineering and FMCG companies.
Knowledge of Labour Laws and Compliances.

Assertiveness and decision-making capacity.
Interpersonal skills to handle sub ordinates and peers of different functions and to interact with stakeholders on HR/IR related matters.
