About the Opportunity:

We’re seeking a Dispatch Team Leader to lead operations at our Murarrie manufacturing site, supporting our Animal Health Intelligence/Allflex business. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll coordinate a small team, ensuring timely and efficient dispatch of outbound goods while maintaining safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

This is a fantastic opportunity to blend leadership with hands-on involvement. In addition to leading your team, you'll be actively engaged in day-to-day operations and have the chance to learn and implement new systems and processes, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster a strong safety-first culture

Lead and coordinate day-to-day dispatch operations

Be hands-on in supporting dispatch tasks and troubleshooting

Monitor order flow and export shipments

Approve freight invoices and manage dispatch documentation

Collaborate with internal departments on freight quotes and status updates

Manage freight consumables and dispatch system controls

Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes

Oversee team performance, training, and development

Support operational and capital budget planning

Manage team rosters, leave, and timesheet approvals

Conduct annual performance and remuneration reviews

Ensure compliance with Quality and EH&S policies

Actively participate in audits and quality investigations

Identify and implement process improvements across dispatch operations

About You:

You’re a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, bringing strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Requirements:

Prior experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory role (essential)

Strong organisational and logistics skills

High-level Microsoft Word and Excel skills

SAP knowledge is ideal, however not essential – we will train the right person!

Keen to learn and work with new systems and processes

Experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and time management

Physically capable of manual handling tasks

Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and adaptable

Collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Willingness to work Saturdays during peak periods (as required)
