LPN/RN Unit Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nursing Unit Manager to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff as a clinical leader as well as ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervision/management, preferably in a Long Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

Assist the ADON/DON in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures within the facility.

Conduct thorough documentation reviews to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practice standards.

Collaborate with clinical staff to provide education, strategy and best practices.

Analyze data related to trends to identify areas for improvement.

Perform patient observations to assess adherence to standards of practice.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Stay updated on current research and guidelines related to long term care and clinical practice.

Skills

Strong knowledge of clinical practices and protocols.

Proficiency in documentation review processes and understanding of HIPAA regulations.

Excellent data management skills for tracking and trending outcomes.

Understanding of epidemiology principles as they relate to infection prevention.

Ability to effectively communicate with healthcare teams and provide training and leadership.

Manage and oversee day to day operations on unit of responsibility.

Strong observational skills for monitoring patient compliance with safety protocols.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule

Must be willing to be on-call

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour
