We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Food Processing Superintendent to join our team for the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, poultry processing, and a proven track record of success in the food processing industry. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our food processing facility during night-time hours.Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in food processing management, preferably in poultry processing
Proven leadership skills and ability to manage large teams
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control procedures
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in production planning and scheduling
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
HACCP certification (preferred)
Ability to work night shifts and occasional weekends or holidaysKey Responsibilities
Production Management
Oversee all aspects of night shift production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met
Develop and implement production schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets
Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance
Collaborate with day shift supervisors to ensure smooth shift transitions and continuity of operations
Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs
Team Leadership and Development
Manage, motivate, and lead a team of production supervisors and line workers
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
Identify training needs and implement appropriate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
Address and resolve employee concerns or conflicts in a timely and professional manner
Quality Control and Food Safety
Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including HACCP and USDA guidelines
Oversee quality control procedures and conduct regular audits to maintain high product standards
Implement and maintain sanitation programs to ensure a clean and hygienic processing environment
Investigate and address any quality or safety issues that arise during production
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in food safety and quality management
Equipment and Facility Management
Oversee the maintenance and proper operation of all processing equipment
Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive
