Responsibilities
Process Leave of Absence time utilized in software system, having knowledge of FMLA and administer reporting processes.
Assist the Leave of Absence team with various tasks.
Ability to work independently, taking initiative at all times
Communicate effectively with leadership on progress of work related items.
Preparing and maintaining team member benefit files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially.
Staying up to date with relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration.
Assisting with the administration of various benefit programs, such as group insurance, medical and dental, accident and disability, and health maintenance programs.
Organizing and taking part in meetings designed to assist team members in the leave process.
Supports all benefit related communications including open enrollment materials/presentations and training.
Recognizing the need to remain flexible and display a strong sense of urgency.
Qualifications
Must Have Qualifications:
Have a very high sense of urgency
Proficient in Word, Excel, HRIS and other MS Office products
Exhibit strong communication skills with a high level of service to all team members face to face, over the phone, and in written communication
Very Strong organizational skills
Desire to learn
Be an innovative thinker with a “yes” mentality
This position requires on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.
Preferred Qualifications:
HR Degree or HR/Benefit Experience
Experience with an HRIS system/Leave of Absence Software
