Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Inventory Controller is responsible for monitoring all the transactions related to inventory, maintaining a reliable inventory ledger, and ensuring compliance of physical inventory management.
Your Responsibilities:
Physical Inventory
Ensures compliance to inventory policies and procedures.
Manage weekly cycle counts, monthly and annual inventory count procedures, and reconciliation.
Oversee monthly reconciliation on the warehouse monitoring report against production report.
Consolidate all inventory reports for all plants all external warehouses, importation hubs and tolling locations.
Summarize the monthly results of the count and manage/perform reconciliation between physical count results against stock records.
Update the Stock records in the system to match the physical count every month-end after reconciliation.
Coordinate with Accounting staff to ensure that all costs related to inventory purchase (such as freight, customs duties, etc.) are properly taken into the inventory costs.
Responsible for communicating with other departments on inventory levels and locations.
Review obsolete/excess inventory to facilitate movement from the warehouse for proper disposition.
Assist in the counting, verification and/or disposal of inventory for tax purposes.
Role is based in Cebu with regular travel to Company’s various locations within the Philippines for inspection and internal audit of inventory.Inventory Valuation
Calculate the monthly Raw Materials (RM) and Finished Goods (FG) valuation, including US GAAP quarterly LOCOM assessment
Calculate the packaging costs quarterly.
Collate and review production reports from the manufacturing plants and tolling locations.
Your Profile:
Functional and Technical Skills
A problem-solver with attention to detail. Must have a strong cost accounting background and have sound understanding of accounting principles.
Good organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills. This role involves interacting with various members of the Company from front line employees to department managers and will be handling at least 5 direct reports.
Strong MS Excel skills and high computer proficiency
Analytical mind with aptitude in math and variance reconciliationExperience and Education
BS Accountancy graduate with at least 3 years of experience in inventory management and costing within Manufacturing/Animal Feed industry.
Previous Big 4/mid-tier audit experience with exposure to auditing inventory balances would be advantageous.
Operation-oriented and comfortable working in a production plant environment.
Experience with multi-plant/warehouse operations would be ideal.
Preferably with knowledge on MS Dynamics / BFC/ HFM and US GAAP Reporting and SOX Controls experience
