Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Produces components and finished products on several different product lines by assembling parts and subassemblies.

- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

- Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

- Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.

- Uses hand tools, assembly fixtures, or power tools to assemble parts.

- Examines connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

- Resolves assembly problems by notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.

- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.

- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or GED.

- Minimum 1 year of previous assembly work. Experience with hydraulic assembly a plus.

- Ability to interpret technical drawings including schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.

- Mechanical aptitude.

- Simple math skills.

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
