Laboratory Director

Community healthcare facility looking to bring on Laboratory Director!

At least 5 years of clinical Lab management experience required.

Responsible for the operations of the clinical laboratory and management of point-of-care testing throughout the organization. Director develops, maintains and enforces all policies and procedures, and is responsible for the accreditation and licensure of all clinical laboratory and point-of-care testing services for the facility and clinics.

Job Requirements:

Baccalaureate degree in the physical sciences, preferably as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist; a Masters relating to healthcare administration. Certification as a Medical Technologist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Qualified by CLIA-88 as a General Supervisor or higher – the above baccalaureate requirements with at least one year experience in the same high-complexity testing performed here

Ability to provide positive leadership in a high-stress environment

Manage resources within budget, provide customer services needed to meet department and facility objectives

Network with other laboratory directors/managers, industry contacts, accreditation consultants, and regulatory representatives

Participate in the compliance program and assist in the maintenance of the billing system

Exceptional time management, organization and project planning skills

Meet or exceed current defined Leadership Core Competencies and Gold Standards of Performance
