Job Description
We are seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team! You will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans with patients in an individual or group setting.
Responsibilities:
Counsel and advise individuals or groups with opioid use disorder
Complete assessments on individuals seeking care
Develop and implement individual treatment plans with the patients
Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients
Complete progress notes
Educate families and groups on opioid use disorder
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals
Qualifications:
Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields
State of Alaska Counselor Technician certification required
Experience in conflict resolution
Compassionate and caring demeanor
Ability to build rapport with patients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
