We are seeking experienced Healthcare Domain Architects with deep expertise in Customer Service and/or Member Portal domains. This role is critical in driving enterprise optimization by introducing new capabilities across these domains, translating business needs into scalable, reliable, and secure architectural solutions. The ideal candidate will apply enterprise roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices to shape and execute domain strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Leadership (30%):
Lead the creation of domain architecture models (current, target, interim states) to identify pain points and opportunities. Drive advanced modeling to align with organizational strategic needs regarding system performance, security, and compliance. Develop and manage domain-specific patterns ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture strategies.
Solution Design and Implementation (20%):
Guide the design, engineering, and implementation of domain assets to improve solution quality. Lead architecture reviews, ensure compliance with standards, and maintain architectural documentation.
Stakeholder Collaboration (15%):
Work closely with business and technical teams to translate needs into impactful architectural solutions. Evaluate and select products and designs that align with enterprise strategies.
Research and Innovation (10%):
Stay ahead of emerging trends within the domain to recommend and drive innovative solutions fitting the organization's needs.
Vendor Management (10%):
Lead vendor evaluations and selection processes, including participation in drafting RFIs/RFPs and scoring vendor proposals for domain-specific tools and solutions.
Process Improvement (10%):
Develop and refine architecture domain methodologies and tools. Ensure integration of architectural processes with broader SDLC practices and contribute to training materials for stakeholders.
Project Assessment and Planning (5%):
Conduct complex domain assessments for proposed projects, supporting annual planning efforts and ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and architecture principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in architecture roles within Healthcare Payor environments, specifically in Customer Service or Member Portal domains.
Strong background with frontend technologies: Java, Spring Boot, API/Web Services.
Basic knowledge of Mainframe (MF)/DB2 is a plus.
AWS Cloud knowledge is a plus.
Expertise in working within SAFe/Agile frameworks.
Proven ability to translate business strategies into end-to-end technical solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
Experience designing solutions that fit into product management roadmaps and leading architecture documentation efforts.
Skilled in cross-domain architectural collaboration and conflict resolution at the design level.
Ability to coach and mentor architects and engineers across teams.
Experience managing cross-domain architecture strategies and resolving enterprise-level technical issues.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
