UI/UX Product Engineer

SpaceNav is seeking an experience and dedicated User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) engineer. SpaceNav develops mission critical flight dynamics applications used to support satellite operations.

The UI/UX Product Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing easy to use interfaces for various software applications, web-based interfaces, and dashboards. The UI/UX Product Engineer will be responsible for standardizing the user experience across all products. This position requires the successful candidate to be self-motivated and at times work with little supervision. The ability to interact with other professionals and provide technical leadership is critical.

The essential roles and responsibilities will include:

Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

Develop preliminary designs, high-fidelity designs, and interactive demos

Collaborate with various product and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience

Monitor and manage software implementation to ensure high quality and alignment with defined requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

2+ years of UX/UI product design experience

Deep understanding of information architecture and how to convey it through wireframes, mock-ups, and prototyping

Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping

Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams

Experience designing for mobile app and responsive web

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

Familiar with Angular and NodeJs
