Senior Buyer – Mechanical

$75K–$90K base + Bonus

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive cost-optimization projects with global suppliers, ensuring delivery timelines, capacity, and quality benchmarks are consistently met.

Oversee supplier agreements and nurture long-term, strategic vendor alliances.

Partner closely with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Logistics—to align procurement efforts with production demands.

Uncover and implement cost-saving strategies, streamline supply chain operations, and pursue initiatives that add value.

Work with internal stakeholders to develop and execute effective sourcing and negotiation plans.

Manage competitive sourcing events and support vendor base expansion efforts.

Interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing workflows to guide supplier selection and qualification.

Preferred Background:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.

2 to 4 years of hands-on procurement experience, ideally in aerospace, precision manufacturing, or tooling environments.

Familiarity with machining processes and mechanical manufacturing practices.

Proficient in reading and analyzing technical schematics and specifications.

Experience in procurement planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and execution.

Multilingual abilities (English-French or English-Spanish) are a strong plus.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Must successfully complete a background screening prior to hire.

Compensation & Perks:

Salary range: $75,000–$90,000
