Director of Purchasing
Miami, FL (50% travel across US, MX, CAN)
$175K–$240K base + bonus
Full-time On-site + Travel Aerospace Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce costs, enhance supplier capabilities, and maintain strict compliance with quality standards.
Manage supplier performance and oversee long-term agreements across regional operations.
Work closely with internal teams—including Engineering, Quality, and Logistics—to ensure procurement activities support broader operational objectives.
Oversee end-to-end purchasing processes across multiple spend categories, from strategic planning through performance evaluation.
Identify and act on opportunities for supplier base optimization, cost efficiency, and procedural enhancements.
Implement structured bidding and sourcing processes to expand and strengthen the vendor ecosystem.
Travel frequently (up to 50%) to supplier sites and company facilities to support procurement activities and build supplier relationships.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Master’s preferred), with 10+ years in supply chain or sourcing roles within aerospace or advanced manufacturing environments.
At least 5 years in a senior procurement leadership role, ideally within tooling or build-to-spec aerospace production.
In-depth knowledge of tooling systems, aerospace production cycles, and industry standards for sourcing and compliance.
Strong background in inventory planning, supplier development, and managing procurement operations across multiple sites.
Familiarity with precision manufacturing, metal component sourcing, and production planning in technical environments.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, contract negotiation, and data-informed decision-making.
Able to interpret technical specifications and lead cross-functional procurement efforts effectively.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary up to $240,000, plus performance-based bonus opportunities
