About the Opportunity:Join an emerging leader in the aviation maintenance industry with our client, strategically located at KFRG, Republic Airport in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York. This exciting opportunity places you at the forefront of general aviation services, supporting five active flight schools with over 50 diverse aircraft. Your role is pivotal in ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operations for diverse customers, from private aircraft owners to the Civil Air Patrols of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. As our client grows, your expertise will help build a reputation for reliability and excellence, positioning the company as the go-to maintenance provider in the region.

Responsibilities:

Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on general aviation aircraft (single and multi-engine piston).

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems.

Repair critical components, including engines, propellers, and landing gear.

Ensure all maintenance meets FAA regulations and company protocols.

Document maintenance and repairs per FAA standards and company procedures.

Verify aircraft readiness and safety before customer handover.

Maintain a safe, organized work environment and keep tools in optimal condition.

Collaborate with mechanics and staff to provide efficient service.

Requirements:

Valid A&P Mechanic certificate.

1-2 years of experience as a General Aviation A&P Mechanic (piston engine expertise).

Knowledge of Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, and Cirrus aircraft preferred.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Avionics experience is a plus.

Work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Strong communication skills for reporting and issue resolution.

Physically able to stand, kneel, lift up to 70 lbs, and work at heights.
