EHS -- Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)

We are looking for exceptional agency Certified Medical Assistants (CCMA) to join our team at Franklin County Jail in Columbus, OH for both short and long-term contracts.

Responsibilities

Assist with direct patient care procedures and related tasks

Assist in obtaining patient histories, take vital signs, prepare charts, and assist with medical examinations

Assist doctors in examining and treating patients

Perform routine procedures under established protocols, to include but not limited to phlebotomy, EKG’s, dressing changes, wound cultures, IM injections

Maintain and stock medicines and medical supplies as necessary

Practice safety, environmental and infection control methods

Qualifications

Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program with a certification in and EKG

Current CPR certificate

Proficient with electronic medical records

Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
