Job Purpose
Assist customers by installing servicing systems and products.
Primary Responsibilities
Automation Technicians perform a wide range of duties such as:
Provide service and customer support
Installation, startup, training, and service of OEM automation equipment
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
Perform and assist with other duties as assigned
Follow all customer’s procedures and protocols
Build relationships with customers
Education & Qualifications
1-2 years of technical experience
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and PLC (programmable logic controllers) knowledge
Familiar with controls, Fanuc robots, Allen Bradely
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical components
Well versed in machine controls and have good mechanical aptitude
Valid driver’s license and have or be able to acquire a valid passport
Motivated with strong interpersonal skills
Work Conditions
This job operates in an office and plant environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photo copiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, tools, and other machines.
Physical Requirements
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, and bending.
Ability to lift components up to 50 lbs.
Direct Reports
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel
Overnight and abroad travel is required.Company Description
