Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our team! This part-time role supports a small skilled nursing facility. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our residents’ nutritional needs are met with dignity, understanding, and clinical expertise.
Job Duties:
Coordinate nutritional care of residents and patients by completing comprehensive nutritional assessments
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings as required
Provide nutritional counseling and education for residents and families
Provide dietary in-service training as needed
Monitor nutritional status, including enteral nutrition, wound care, weight management, and Hemodialysis cases
Ensure compliance with ACA regulations and state survey standards related to nutrition care
Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as a liaison with the medical and nursing staff
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation (experience with Point Click Care electronic charting a plus)
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills and Abilities:
Good decision-making and judgment skills
Ability to identify and solve complex problems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High comfort level with enteral nutrition, wound management, weight monitoring, and Hemodialysis patients
Comfortable working in a healthcare facility setting
Familiarity with state survey processes and compliance requirements for nutrition care
The Successful Candidate Will:
Hold a current Registered Dietitian credential and Florida license
Have experience providing nutritional care to long-term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients
Be an active participant in interdisciplinary care conferences
Be detail-oriented, compassionate, and a true team player
