Position Overview:

Allied Universal Technology Servicesis looking to hire anInstallation Technician II. TheInstallation Technician IIwill perform installations of electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low-voltage communication, and fire alarm systems, including cable management, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware.As anInstallation Technician II, this person is expected to be a highly proactive and skilled individual and, at all times, maintain performance consistent with Allied Universal Technology Services' core values.

What to expect as a Commercial Security Installation Technician II:

Drive to client sites, with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements

Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients (door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, point sensors, signaling devices, ect.)

Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes

Supervise Installation Technician I's on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager

Run electrical wiring; related activities include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs

Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation.

Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned such as job-site clean-up

Qualifications (Must Haves):

Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in installing and programming the following: Lenel, Software House/CCURE, Genetec, AMAG, Axis, Avigilon, DMP, Bosch

Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis

Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.

High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent is required

Demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail while independently meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Communicates effectively with internal teams and external customers, including delivering clear product familiarization training

Maintains organized, accurate records and completes daily time entry remotely with minimal oversight
