Location: Amaroo, ACT

Hourly Rate: $29.89 (Support Worker Level 3.1)

Are you a qualified Chef who enjoys preparing nutritious meals in a nurturing environment? Busy Bees at Amaroo is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our team. Prior experience in an early childhood setting is highly regarded, as we value candidates who understand the dietary needs and safety standards required in childcare.

About the Role

Prepare and serve meals for children aged 0–5, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea

Plan and rotate seasonal menus that align with children’s nutritional guidelines and dietary needs

Ensure the kitchen is clean, hygienic and compliant with food safety standards

Manage allergies, intolerances and cultural dietary requirements with care

Work closely with the centre leadership and educators to support the wellbeing of children

What You’ll Need

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Experience working in a childcare environment (preferred)

Working With Children Check (ACT)

First Aid and CPR certifications (desirable but not essential)

Knowledge of HACCP and food safety compliance

Ability to manage time efficiently and independently
