Adjunct Faculty - Physical Therapist Assistant Instructor

General Information & Responsibilities

Black Hawk College seeks a part-time/ adjunct Physical Therapist Assistant instructor.

Description of Duties

Faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students’ educational experience; develops and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students’ performance; develops, secures, and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.

Education & Experience

Associates in Applied Science degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or Masters/Doctorate degree as a Physical Therapist. Prior teaching experience preferred. Must possess demonstrated oral English Proficiency for classroom instruction. Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist who holds an active, unencumbered PTA or PT license/certification in Illinois and is in compliance with the practice act in Illinois.

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024)

Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour

Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour

Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour
