Our client in the courier services industry is seeking to employ an experienced Dispatch/Receiving Clerk to join their Team.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 08h00 – 17h00
(weekends, overtime and work on public holidays might be required).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(Note that this is not a full job description – only main functions are listed)
– Build up Orders as per pick notes
– Check orders and verify according to pick notes
– Supervise loading trucks and monitor load distribution.
– Have knowledge of invoicing and be able to direct deliveries
– Dispatch goods as per prescribed procedures
– Assist in coordination of import deliveries and liaising with transporters
– Have a understanding of space utilization.
– Receiving and offloading of containers as per prescribed procedures.
– Creating receiving packing Slip
– Batch breakdown and stock reservation.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
– Matric
– Minimum 3 years working experience in a warehouse/courier environment
– At least 3 years experience with scanner.
– Must have worked on computerized software (SAP/NAV)
– Efficient on Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word
SUITABLE APPLICANTS MUST DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
– Warehousing and stock control methods and procedures, methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials.
– Health and safety regulations.
– Ability to learn and adapt quickly
– Able to work in under pressure
– Attention to detail
