Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Engineer to design and develop steel frame adventure courses. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings, including weldment prints and 3D models. Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the responsibilities will include creation of analytical models, structural design of adventure course structures, connection design, foundation design, and cable systems design.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and engineer steel frame adventure courses from concept to completion.
Create detailed shop drawings, including weldment prints and fabrication drawings.
Develop 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.
Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturability and assembly processes.
Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity of designs.
Assist in prototyping, testing, and validating new designs.
Maintain documentation and revision control for all drawings and models.
Provide technical support to manufacturing and installation teams as needed.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.

Knowledge/Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in engineering design, preferably in structural steel fabrication.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor for 2D and 3D modeling.
Strong knowledge of welding practices, materials, and fabrication processes.
Experience with structural analysis and load calculations.
Familiarity with industry codes and safety standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience in adventure course design or similar structures preferred.
Knowledge of ASTM standards and safety requirements for adventure structures preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
