Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop structural plans using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, ArchiCAD, etc.)

Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to define project scope and ensure constructability

Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify adherence to specifications, and maintain safety compliance

Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project execution

Analyze technical data and design calculations to support engineering decisions

Provide technical guidance on structural systems, construction methods, and repair strategies

Identify project risks early and propose solutions to minimize delays or disruptions

Prepare accurate material, labor, and cost estimates to evaluate project feasibility

Draft and assemble proposal documents for new projects and bids

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

Proficient in engineering and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and ArchiCAD

Strong interest and intent to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the State of Wisconsin

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

5+ years of structural engineering experience in commercial, industrial, or mixed-use projects (preferred)

Experience with pre-engineered steel building system (preferred)

Solid understanding of Wisconsin State Building Codes and local permitting regulations (preferred)

Practical, hands-on knowledge of construction methods and field operations (preferred)
