Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect with proven expertise in strategizing, designing, implementing and guiding a major transformation. Implement event-driven data architectures and managing scalable cloud-based data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services (particularly Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, S3, and Glue), and a deep understanding of data warehouse design and real-time data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain event-driven and streaming data pipelines using modern technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Kafka Connect).

Architect scalable, reliable, and secure data warehouse solutions, primarily on Amazon Redshift.

Develop logical and physical data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.

Define data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, and reference data.

Collaborate with engineering teams to implement ETL/ELT pipelines and support real-time data ingestion and transformation.

Drive best practices for data governance, data quality, and metadata management.

Leverage AWS services to build and optimize end-to-end data solutions.

Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies for the data ecosystem.

Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to align data strategies with business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and large-scale data system design.

Strong background in event-driven architectures and streaming data platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.).

Expertise in Amazon Redshift, including schema design, performance tuning, and workload management.

Solid understanding of AWS cloud architecture and services including S3, Glue, Lambda, and IAM.

Proficient in data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, 3NF, etc.).

Experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (dbt, Apache NiFi, Airflow, etc.).

Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools.

Must have strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with real-time analytics, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Solutions Architect).

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
