As our Director of Accounting Advisory Services, you’ll bring a blend of technical skill, adaptability, and leadership that drives outcomes and fosters long-term relationships:

At the helm of our outsourced accounting services, you’ll align your vision with our entrepreneurial owner’s, ensuring cohesion across the team and consistency for clients. RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
Partner with the owner to define and execute the accounting department’s vision, aligning with growth goals and strategy
Identify and implement opportunities for department growth, including expanding services, scaling client relationships, and developing a larger, high-performing team
Represent the department on the leadership team, contributing insights and strategies to support company-wide initiatives
Client Value Creation
Build long-term, trust-based client partnerships through proactive engagement, actionable insights, and clear financial reporting
Partner with sales to price services effectively, identify opportunities to expand client relationships, and inspire confidence in the department’s technical expertise
Use client feedback to enhance service delivery, drive satisfaction, and increase referral rates
Operational Excellence
Optimize workflows and systems to drive efficiency, scalability, and team success
Translate best practices into standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and clarity across the department
Ensure financial records are clean, accurate, and fully tax-ready, enabling smooth collaboration across our integrated advisory services
Embrace and expand the use of internal technology, leveraging tools like Monday and Harvest to enhance operational visibility and team productivity
Team Leadership & Development
Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous development, aligning the team with the vision and empowering them to achieve their goals and maximize opportunities like achieving their top-level bonuses
Provide regular feedback, professional development opportunities, and mentorship to retain and grow a high-performing team
Lead by example, embodying core values and setting a high standard of collaboration, professionalism, and expertise
*This is a full-time, onsite role based out of Greenville, SC*
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Senior manager level or above financial leadership experience, ideally within public accounting or similar industry
Strong accounting experience and/or education (CPA-eligible or equivalent), with awareness of how financial decisions impact tax outcomes
Strong client services experience, including multiple forms of communication strategies
Leading and developing a small team, including remote employees
Experience with bookkeeping and project management software
Preferred
QuickBooks Online expertise
Has worked with bigger and smaller outsourced accounting firms
Active CPA license, MBA, and/or master’s degree in accounting
Desired
Familiarity with Monday, Harvest, and Keeper
Familiar with CRM softwares

Salary: $120k - $150k + bonus
