Client Accounting Services Accountant
As a Client Accounting Services Accountant, you will work directly with clients to prepare financial statements that help owners and managers achieve their operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Accounting:
Prepare and review bank reconciliations.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
Generate and analyze monthly financial statements for accuracy and reasonableness.
Document work effectively and comprehensively.
Identify, communicate, and resolve client and engagement issues in a timely and organized manner.
Apply knowledge of accrual and cash basis accounting principles.
Payroll & Sales Tax Compliance:
Understand and apply Iowa sales and use tax regulations.
File monthly sales tax returns accurately and on time.
Maintain general knowledge of Federal, State, and Unemployment payroll taxes.
Record and manage monthly payroll entries.
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and collaboration.
Technology and Process Development:
Utilize strong computer and software skills to enhance efficiency.
Learn and adapt to new software, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
General Skills:
Exhibit strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Manage multiple priorities and complete projects within established deadlines.
Ideal Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in Accounting required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Bill.com, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
