Senior Functional Consultant – Dynamics 365
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Functional (or Techno-functional) Consultant with a strong background in MS Dynamics to help bridge the gap between finance teams and technical developers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both collaborative environments and independent problem-solving, with a solid understanding of accounting operations and system workflows. As a key member of the team, you’ll support the continuous improvement of our financial systems, enabling smoother business processes and smarter decisions across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business needs into system enhancements by collaborating closely with stakeholders, developers, and end-users
Analyze and improve key workflows in F&O, particularly across order processing, invoicing, credit memos, and purchase transactions
Serve as a go-to resource for understanding the flow of data between integrated systems, including Dynamics CE
Assist in shaping financial reporting outputs by interpreting core financial documents and aligning system capabilities with business objectives
Document processes, recommend optimizations, and support configuration to ensure scalable, sustainable solutions
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot system or workflow issues with a critical thinking mindset
Support testing, validation, and rollout of new features or updates across the Dynamics 365 environment
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring all voices are heard and needs are met
What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business field, or equivalent professional experience can be substituted
Strong experience in ERP Financials - functional operational experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and 365 Finance and Operations
Experience working directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Dynamics 365 F&O) in a functional, techno-functional, analyst or similar role
Grasp of the end-to-end order-to-invoice cycle within Dynamics 365 F&O, including purchase and sales order processing, invoice generation, credit adjustments, and related financial postings.
Comfortability with exploring functionality and permission in MS Dynamics
Strong interpersonal skills—you’re as comfortable leading a discussion with business users as you are working through details with a developer
Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and most importantly, listening
A collaborative mindset and a willingness to take ownership of your work
Proven experience identifying problems, diving into the details, and driving resolution with a long-term lens
Nice to have (but not required)
Prior exposure to dual-written integrations (integrated system environments), particularly where data flows between Dynamics F&O and Customer Engagement (CE) modules is ideal (but NOT required)
Experience with any Dynamics add-ons
