Role/Responsibilities

The Senior IBM ACE Integration Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise application integration solutions using established development standards and software development lifecycle processes. This role requires expertise in analyzing, planning, programming, testing, documenting, and improving technical solutions and business processes. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the functionality, availability, and reliability of integration systems while maintaining a secure and high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, administer, and support application integration solutions for operational technology processes.

Collaborate with Application Development, IT Infrastructure, Communication Services, Service Support, IT Operations, and other technical teams to deliver project objectives.

Work with business units and vendors to design, test, document, implement, and enhance integration services and architectures according to standards.

Provide 24x7x365 proactive and reactive support for integration systems and mission-critical applications reliant on integration services.

Monitor and respond to real-time alerts to resolve or prevent performance issues.

Participate in on-call rotations as required to ensure continuous support and availability.

Automate system administration tasks and create custom scripts.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root-cause analyses, and implement solutions independently.

Maintains host security (passwords, file permissions, file system integrity, security packages, SSH) and network security.

Cross-trains co-workers on new designs.

Use solid oral and written communication skills to communicate solution function and value.

Core responsibilities focus on operational/tactical aspects of the organization and some strategic focus.

Incumbents at this level are fully developed and performing in their specialized field may include limited supervisory responsibilities.

Performs other duties as assigned. Extensive experience with IBM Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) tools and components, including IBM MQ, IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise), IBM WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, WebLogic, Active MQ, and Kafka.

Expertise in API development (SOAP, WSDL, REST) and service-oriented architectures.

Hands-on experience with file-based integration techniques (e.g., FTP, SFTP, HTTP, AWS S3, Azure Blob) and API administration using IBM ACE.

Skilled in programming languages and scripting tools, including ESQL, Perl, Shell Scripting, XSLT, DataWeave, and SQL.

Administration, performance tuning, and development expertise in IBM ACE, IBM MQ, Active MQ, and Kafka.

Extensive experience managing Tomcat, WebLogic, and WebSphere Application Server on both UNIX and Windows platforms.

Installation and administration of IBM MQ/IBM ACE and WebSphere Application Server in high-availability configurations.

Strong expertise in UNIX and Windows systems, including system-level management and performance optimization.

Working knowledge of project management concepts, tools and techniques.

Ability to manage multiple priorities related to multiple projects at once and work collaboratively across organizational lines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly in group settings, one-on-one conversations, and formal or informal documentation.

Strong ability to organize information, manage tasks and use available tools to effectively contribute to a team and the organization.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to perform tasks independently.

Proficient in MS Office Package, including work processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.

Interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a team.

Must have favorable driving record.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university

Desired Requirements

Master’s degree in information systems or related field from an accredited university.

IBM ACE certification.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $38.46 per hour

Pay Range Maximum: $58.65 per hour

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
