Role/Responsibilities
The Administrator SAP BASIS 4 has a minimum of 10 years or more experience with SAP Basis administration of SAP ERP/ECC 6.0, BW, and other SAP applications running on Linux. The Administrator SAP Basis 4 works collaboratively with SAP developers/analysts and lower-level Basis Administrators to evaluate business needs and review/document system requirements. The Administrator SAP Basis 4 provides expert knowledge to support SAP solutions. The Administrator SAP Basis 4 leads lower-level Basis Administrators for planning, support, installation and maintenance of SAP systems. Responsibilities include all SAP Basis administration functions, including, but not limited to: collaborative application support, performance monitoring and tuning, planning, designing, managing and implementing SAP systems/modules/capability within a defined
Key Responsibilities
Monitor all systems activity daily which includes SAP ERP/ECC 6, SAP Business Warehouse (BW) HANA, SAP Process Orchestration (PO), SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Solution Manager (ABAP/Java), SAP Gateway, SAP Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), SAP Landscape Directory, and SAP Single Sign On (SSO).
Maintain SAP R3 and BW profile configurations, including monitoring and adjusting when problems occur or to improve performance.
Maintain administration and monitoring of background processing and batch jobs.
Assist production scheduler with locally developed Linux shell and PL/SQL scripts to monitor mass parallel jobs.
Manage print and spooling functions including configuring and maintaining approximately 200+ remote printers.
Maintain load balancing for application server logins.
Monitor workload consumed by each application server, particularly during month-end processing; add additional resources to server whenever needed.
Manage transports from SAP development, functional, and BW teams.
Work with various SAP support teams to move and transport any type of changes to SAP and BW systems through typical landscapes: development, quality assurance, production and training.
Monitor and apply SAP notes.
Use SAP online support to research, download software, open support tickets to report problems, schedule and provide solutions.
Maintain sandbox, development, quality assurance (QA) and training environments, including regular refreshes of QA and training systems from production and post-processing steps to maintain identity of the system in the QA/training landscape.
Complete installation of SAP, BW and core modules/addons and provide continuous SAP support package upgrades.
Maintain J2EE software stacks.
Duties include monitoring, debugging and troubleshooting issues related to the Java stack.
Maintain SAP portal environment.
Configure backend services called by the portal, know how to create, change, and update SSL certificate
Assist with SAP system/software installations (ERP/ECC, NW, Gateway, PO, etc.), system sizing (capacity planning), and disk/storage/server layout and system installation plans.
Monitor database growth and activity.
Monitor database performance and storage.
Collaborate with Database administrators to adjust database resources, database storage, Table/index maintenance, reorganize database tables, and rebuild database indexes, as required.
Perform database and system backup/restore using RMAN and CommVault.
Test database recovery scenarios on a yearly basis.
Diagnose long running SQL and recommend corrective actions.
Perform system refreshes from production ERP/ECC 6.0 to non-production ERP/ECC 6.0 systems.
Manage and apply SAP kernel patches and upgrades.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related business degree from an accredited university OR relevant technical system administration experience.
Minimum of 10 years or more experience with SAP Basis administration of SAP ERP/ECC 6.0 running on Linux and SAP BW HANA administration
Demonstrated experience working in a RHEL or OEL Linux-based server environment, including familiarity with command line scripting, for the SAP environment
Demonstrated experience working in a Windows-based server environment, including familiarity with command line scripting, for SAP software.
Demonstrated experience in web environment, especially with HTTPS and SSL configuration.
Demonstrated experience performing analysis and capacity planning in an SAP environment (preferred).
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments, under time constraints while maintaining high quality work with minimal supervision
Demonstrated sophisticated reasoning skills.
Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills in researching and solving technical problems related to SAP Basis and Oracle database performance.
Ability to execute assigned tasks with limited instruction, providing task status and seeking help when needed
Ability to interact and work together as a team member with the Basis administration team and other support teams
Provides expert knowledge to support SAP solutions.
Leads lower level Basis Administrators for planning, support, installation and maintenance of SAP systems.
Desired Requirements
Minimum 5+ years’ experience with SAP Process Orchestration (PO) administration, maintenance, and support.
Experience with SAP Enhancement Packages
Experience with SAP Work Manager
Experience with SAP Windows Word Processor Integration (WWI) installation and integration with SAP Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S)
Experience with Business Software, Inc (BSI) tax software installation and integration
Experience with running SAP systems on Microsoft Azure IaaS
Experience with Microsoft Azure Monitoring of SAP systems
SAP Basis System Administration certification
SAP PO System Administration certification
Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration certification
Oracle Enterprise Linux system administration certification
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $38.46 per hour
Pay Range Maximum: $58.65 per hour

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
