CNC Programmer Lead

Our client is looking for a CNC Programmer to oversee advanced machining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in 5-axis milling and turning, strong leadership skills, and a extensive understanding of precision manufacturing processes. The role involved leading the team of CNC programmers, optimizing machine processes, and ensuring high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot 5-axis milling and turning CNC programs.

Lead and mentor a team of CNC programmers, providing technical guidance and training.

Work with engineers and machinists to improve machining strategies, tool selection, and cycle times.

Utilize CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam) to create efficient machining programs.

Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to enhance workflow and resolve technical challenges.

Maintain documentation, including process sheets, setup instructions, and tooling lists.

Qualifications:

5+ years of CNC programming experience, with a focus on 5-axis milling and turning.

Proficiency in CAM software (Mastercam preferred).

Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and post-processing.

Experience with high-precision machining, GD&T, and complex geometries.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.

Familiarity with various materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multi-tasking machines (e.g., Mazak Integrex, Okuma Multus, or DMG MORI NT series).

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process optimization.
