Desktop Support Analyst

2 Month Contract
8 hour shift between 7:30am-6:00pm
Columbus, Ohio (onsite)
What you’ll be doing:
Provide on-site technical support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices for all
Will install, support basic applications, and will triage, route, and liaison if not able to handle to OSU main IT department.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
Must be okay with answering phones for IT support and handling emails.
Time Management skills
Assist users with account setup, software installation, and configurations.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper documentation of support activities.
Collaborate with IT teams to escalate complex issues and participate in problem resolution.
Conduct training sessions for users on new technologies and applications.
Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures related to desktop support.
Who we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in desktop support or technical support roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common software applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Experience in a higher education environment.
Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
Active Directory experience – would be nice to have
