Validation Engineer / Integration Engineer- Plano, Texas

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Validation/Integration Engineer to support the testing and deployment of Private 5G solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation (Python), RAN technologies (4G/5G), and integration/testing in real-world network environments. This role involves hands-on support, software validation, and issue resolution to ensure successful implementation and performance of 5G systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop automation scripts using Python and the Pytest framework for testing environments.

Work within Kubernetes environments to validate deployments and system behavior.

Conduct software release testing, including use case analysis, test case creation, execution, and documentation.

Provide detailed troubleshooting by analyzing system logs, running traces, and identifying root causes of issues.

Deliver on-site technical support for installation, testing, and commissioning of 5G equipment.

Execute test plans to validate quarterly Private 5G solution releases at the Ericsson testing facility.

Identify and document software defects; collaborate with the Private 5G product team to resolve issues promptly.

Use network management tools to analyze traffic, performance metrics, and logs to ensure system integrity.

Conduct field and end-to-end testing for voice, video, IoT, and other services against SLA and performance benchmarks.

Validate new network designs, upgrades, and software releases before full-scale deployment.

Act as a technical lead in troubleshooting complex issues related to private 5G hardware/software configurations.

Provide hands-on troubleshooting support, including RF optimization, equipment diagnostics, and interference resolution.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.

3–5 years in telecommunications, wireless networking, or related roles, with hands-on 5G or LTE experience preferred.

Must-Have Skills:

Automation coding with Python and Pytest.

Strong knowledge of 4G/5G RAN systems.

Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Good-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Linux and Kubernetes environments.

Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, NetFlow).

Background in network slicing, spectrum management, and MEC (Mobile Edge Computing).

Certifications (Preferred):

CCNA, CWNP, or 5G-related certifications from Ericsson, Nokia, or Huawei.
