Logistics Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking Logistics Analyst to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ocean freight, negotiations with freight carriers, and customs/import processes. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across international borders.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and optimize transportation routes and methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Manage and negotiate contracts with freight carriers to secure favorable terms and rates.

Oversee ocean freight operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Coordinate with customs brokers and import/export agents to ensure compliance with all regulations.

Monitor and report on transportation metrics and performance.

Collaborate with internal teams to forecast transportation needs and develop strategies to meet them.

Resolve transportation-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation analysis, with a focus on ocean freight.

Proven experience in negotiating with freight carriers.

Strong knowledge of customs and import regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in transportation management systems and software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 based on experience
