Job Title: Tax Supervisor - Client-Facing
Location: Ardmore, PA (Hybrid Work Flexibility)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Firm:
We're not your typical tax firm — and that’s by design. Based just outside Philadelphia in Ardmore/Havertown PA, our firm has built a reputation for doing top-tier tax and advisory work for high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, trusts, and estates — all while cultivating a culture that people actually want to be part of.
We’re a high-performance team of sharp, collaborative professionals who bring both skill and personality to the table. Think: team happy hours, real mentorship, smart banter in Slack, and plenty of space to grow your career while living a full life outside of work.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Tax Supervisor who can hit the ground running with both technical tax work and client relationships. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a client-facing role, loves mentoring bright staff, and wants to be surrounded by capable, down-to-earth people who enjoy what they do.
This is a leadership opportunity within a firm that values autonomy, encourages innovation, and stays on top of best practices in the evolving tax landscape.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and deepen client relationships across a portfolio of HNWIs, S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, and trusts/estates
Review and oversee complex tax returns and planning strategies
Provide mentorship and guidance to staff and managers; lead by example and with empathy
Collaborate with leadership on firm initiatives and process improvements
Keep up with tax law developments and educate both clients and the team
Contribute to a workplace culture that values technical excellence and emotional intelligence
What Makes This Role Different:
Modern, agile firm with up-to-date systems, tools, and a team that's tuned into current trends in tax, finance, and life
Healthy team dynamics—you’ll be working with people who are ambitious but grounded, serious about client service but also fun and supportive
No "tax-season burnout badge of honor" mentality—we value smart planning, efficient processes, and your time outside of work
Real growth potential—this is not a "wait in line" kind of place; your path forward is based on talent and initiative, not tenure
Qualifications:
CPA or desire to obtain CPA preferred; MST or JD/LLM in Taxation preferred
7+ years of experience in public accounting or a tax advisory setting
Expertise in tax compliance and planning for HNWIs, entities, and trusts
Strong client communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership
Solid tech chops — experience with ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar platforms
Perks & Benefits:
Competitive top-of-market compensation + performance-based bonuses
401(k) with firm match
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
Generous PTO plus firm-wide breaks around key holidays
Hybrid work environment with flexible scheduling
Support for continuing education and credentialing
Team events, lunches, and offsite gatherings — because we actually like working together
