An exciting and fast-growing high technology engineering organisation located in Fort Worth (Texas, USA) who specialise in Smart Technology for Climate Control are seeking to hire a new Embedded Software Engineer to join the team and business on a permanent basis.
Salary on offer:
The annual salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer is $120,000 - $170,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.
Role & ideal Embedded Software Engineer:
The successful Embedded Software Engineer will take responsibility to be designing, developing and testing the firmware of the company’s new and future cutting-edge technology & products. The Embedded Software Engineer will need to ideally have a track record with experience of development of embedded firmware for microcontrollers in power electronics and motor control applications.
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power Electronics, Computer Engineer, Embedded Software Engineering, or a related field (BSEE/MSEE or equivalent experience).
5-10+ industry professional experience
Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
Development of embedded firmware for microcontrollers in power electronics and motor control applications
Firmware development experience for AC/DC, DC/DC, and DC/AC power converters
Experience of three-phase inverter and Dual-Active Bridge DC/DC converter; three-phase dual active bridge control is a plus.
Experience of microcontrollers – Infineon Aurix, NXP, STM32, ARM, Microchip, Texas Instruments etc
Experience working on embedded firmware for FOC for motor control
Knowledge working with digital control of PFC (Power Factor Correction)
Experience of RTOS – FreeRTOS, VxWorks, QNX, Windows, Linux
Familiarity with power converter control algorithms and MATLAB/Simulink modelling and simulation
Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, CAN, WI-FI BLE, Ethernet
IDE’s – Eclipse, Keil µVision, Visual Studio, MPLAB X
Ability to use lab equipment – Multimeters, logic analysers, oscilloscopes etc
Version Control Systems – GIT, JIRA, SVN or similar
Industry experience – Automotive, Renewable Energy, Power Electronics, HVAC Systems
