Test Technician Space Vector Corporation is seeking a Test Technician to support our engineering and production teams in the testing of aerospace hardware and systems. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring our products meet stringent quality, performance, and safety standards. You will work closely with engineers, quality assurance personnel, and program managers to execute test procedures and troubleshooting issues across various aerospace programs, including Battery Management Systems (BMS) and related components.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment and fixtures for electrical and mechanical testing.
• Execute test procedures and document results in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Perform testing on electronic assemblies, sub-systems, and final products, including functional, environmental, and acceptance tests.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues during testing, including identifying component failures or system malfunctions.
• Assist engineers in test development, setup optimization, and fixture design.
• Maintain test records, logs, and detailed documentation for test reports.
• Handle and inspect aerospace-grade materials and components in accordance with AS9100 standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support product development and validation. • Follow established safety protocols and cleanroom procedures as necessary.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
• Support inventory management of test-related tools, equipment, and materials.
• Occasional support for field testing or off-site test events may be required.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military/technical training.
• At least two (2) years of hands-on experience in an electronics or aerospace test technician role.
• Proficient in the use of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
• Basic understanding of circuit schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and soldering/rework skills (IPC certification a plus).
• Familiarity with AS9100 or other aerospace/defense quality systems is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• The ability to obtain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Aerospace experience or exposure to high-reliability electronics is highly preferred.
