Databricks Data Architect

Responsibilities for the Databricks Data Architect:

Design and implement scalable data architectures using Databricks and AWS Redshift.

Lead large-scale data warehouse migration efforts to Databricks from on-prem or other cloud platforms.

Ensure data architecture aligns with business needs and best practices.

Perform SQL query tuning and optimize processing of large datasets.

Required Qualifications for the Databricks Data Architect:

7+ years of experience as a Data Architect, with a strong focus on cloud platforms.

Deep expertise with Databricks, AWS Redshift, and their associated toolsets.

Hands-on experience with Data Vault 2.0.

Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python.

Solid experience in performance tuning and large dataset optimization.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications for the Databricks Data Architect:

Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance).

Familiarity with cloud security and data governance best practices.

Certifications in Databricks, AWS, or related technologies are a plus.
