NOC/Telecom Network Operator (Video Monitoring) Contract, Onsite

12+ month Contract

Contract Rate: $25/hr on W2

100% onsite in downtown Dallas

Shift: Wednesday-Sunday, 8am-4pm; first 3 months is M-F, 8am-4pm for training

Summary:

The Telecom Network Operator is the technical expert on multiple telecommunication protocols and is responsible for ensuring that the network is performing to optimum capacity. Responsibilities include:

Providing primary support for at least one major system (microwave, two-way radio, wireless LAN, etc.) and secondary support on multiple minor systems

Planning and implementing changes to the Transport network to ensure adherence to all Change Management policies and procedures

Coordinating all planned outages

Performing end-to-end analysis on the transport network through a capacity/availability/response time analysis

Updating system and procedures documentation for all network hardware on the document database

Conducting trend analysis and capacity analysis to anticipate changes in the business environment and take appropriate action.

FAA tower lighting notifications

Assisting in the training of new candidates

Adhering to safe work practices to support the goal of no reportable accidents within IT

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of Video Monitoring and Access Control systems

Familiar with telecommunications network design and architecture

Strive to resolve all issues and to identify the root cause of every problem

On call and shift work– 24x7 operation and all personnel will be on call in the event of a problem

Keep abreast of technology changes, evaluating and recommending network components and developing documentation and installation standards for these components
