Job Title: GIS Analyst

3 month Contract

Location: Phoenix AZ onsite couple of times a month. Travel will be expansible while on contract.

Job Description:

Candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our mining operations by managing and analyzing geospatial data.

Position involves working closely with engineers, environmental scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient use of GIS technology.

Maintain GIS databases, models, and templates.

Compile, analyze, and interpret geospatial data to support various departments.

Create detailed maps and visualizations for internal and external use.

Implement GIS applications to integrate business content into other internal projects.

Provide technical support and training to staff on GIS tools and applications.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular updates and quality control measures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address GIS needs and opportunities.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in GIS analysis and database management.

Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience in the mining industry is a plus.

Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL.

Familiarity with remote sensing and spatial analysis techniques.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
