Solar Installer - All Levels

As a Solar Installer, you’ll play a crucial role in our installation crew and within the company. This hands-on position offers a fantastic opportunity to build valuable trade skills that can jumpstart a long-term career in the solar or electrical industry. What You’ll Do:

Work collaboratively with a crew (typically 3-4 people) to safely and efficiently complete residential solar installations

Layout and mount solar hardware on a variety of roof types

Secure and wire solar modules using appropriate mounting systems

Assemble racking systems and arrays, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all necessary components

Support the Lead Installer and Foreman in project completion by following established procedures and safety protocols

Maintain a professional and friendly presence with clients, representing Simply Solar in a positive light

Visit job sites throughout the North Bay Area to assist with final inspections and permitting

Prepare completed systems for inspection by gathering necessary documentation and photos (electrical panels, meters, obstructions, etc.)

Report any technical corrections or installation notes to help improve team performance

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1+ years of hands-on experience in solar installation

Consistent and reliable attendance with dependable transportation

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings

Comfortable working at heights and on rooftops

Physically capable of climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various outdoor conditions

Strong communication and customer service skills

Must reside locally or be willing to commute to our shop daily

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Nice to Have:

Electrical Trainee (ET) Card

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly rate: $25 - $35, based on experience
