**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Respiratory Care**

**Location:** Warren Nursing and Rehab

**Department:** Respiratory Therapy

**Reports To:** Nurse Manager / Director of Respiratory Services

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in respiratory care to join our dynamic healthcare team. The RN Respiratory will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with respiratory issues, implementing evidence-based practices, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory conditions, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients with respiratory disorders, ensuring alignment with best practices and clinical guidelines.

- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, medications, and treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator management.

- Monitor and document patients' respiratory status, vital signs, and overall health, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on assessments and patient responses.

- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance patient outcomes.

- Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, medication management, and techniques for effective self-care.

- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control protocols and hospital policies and procedures.

- Provide support and counseling for patients and families coping with the emotional and psychological impact of respiratory illnesses.

- Stay current with developments in respiratory care practices, participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of respiratory care services within the organization.

**Qualifications:**

- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [Insert State].

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; an associate degree may be considered with relevant experience.
