Position Overview

Responsible for ensuring that all data store in databases are handled efficiently and securely and to maximize the availability of that data to users and applications.

Responsibilities

10%

Work directly with experienced DBA's and will act as their backup and learn alongside them.

20%

Monitor and help Troubleshoot Performance issues.

10%

Monitor, manage and resolve incoming Service Desk tickets.

20%

Coordinate and implement Database changes requested by Developers.

10%

Perform Database backup and restores.

30%

Responsible for day-to-day operations, support, and maintenance of the business systems and associated databases.

Qualifications

Required Education

HS Diploma or GED

Acceptable Fields of Study: Computer Information Systems, Information Technology

Additional two years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree

Required Knowledge, Abilities, Skills

Responsible for day-to-day operations, support, and maintenance of the business systems and associated databases.

Desired Knowledge, Abilities, Skills

High School diploma and 0-2 years of Database Administrator experience or Relevant Database Administrator Certification Exam.

Prior Experience with using tools to interact with Database Systems.

Must have previous experience utilizing SQL Code based on the SQL query language to manipulate and retrieve data.

Knowledge of the management of database security, backup and recovery principles and procedures.

Must be able consume and Create Documentation.

Capable of navigating Windows OS and storage solutions. Linux knowledge preferred but not required.

Must be able to cooperate and collaborate with others.

Have a proactive mindset that enables anticipating changes in data storage and or cybersecurity needs.
