We are looking to hire an HR Specialist in the city of Stanton, CA. This is a contract to hire opportunity to join our HR department!

Reporiting to: Human Resources Manager

Pay: $25 $28/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action, benefits management, workers' comp, and payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The HR Generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:

Administration of bi-weekly payroll including Processes all employee data in ADP Workforce Now to ensure that payroll accurately reflects changes due to merit increases, overtime, absences, bonus incentive pay; payroll deductions such as tax withholdings, benefits, garnishments, etc.

Audits timecards and works with employees and supervisors to ensure completeness and accuracy of timecards.

Conducts full-cycle recruiting to include reviewing resumes, pre-screen candidates to assess qualifications, recommend candidates to hiring managers, coordinates and participates in interviews

Negotiates, prepares and extends new-hire offers

Partners with hiring managers to create and review job requisitions, updating or creating job descriptions by defining key position requirements (i.e. education, experience, technical competencies).

Documents and maintains the organization's ATS Recruiting system

Responsible for the on boarding of new hires.

Manages leave of absences to comply with state and federal leave laws.

Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices in a timely, efficient manner.

Responsible for responding to employee and management questions regarding all HR issues

Generates and maintains various reports.

Maintains confidential personnel files.

Assists with the preparation of the affirmative action plan.

Prepares and processes termination paperwork.

Assists with annual open enrollment process.

Enrolls new hires onto benefit plans.

Assist the HR department with projects and administrative support as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Establish trust and confidence by maintaining a high level of credibility, integrity, and skilled communications with managers, peers and candidates

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong knowledge of Federal and CA labor laws.

Strong knowledge of compliance in labor and tax laws related to payroll and leaves.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bilingual English/Spanish read, write and communication at a fluent level is required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related preferred

2-4 years hands-on experience in candidate sourcing, selection and assessment

3-5 years full cycle recruiting experience

Previous experience with HRIS software, payroll and labor reporting systems, strongly prefer working knowledge with ADP Workforce Now.

ITAR REQUIREMENT:

Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).
