As the process engineer, you will analyze and optimize our quartz beneficiation processes to improve efficiency and ensure product quality. This includes process troubleshooting, process analysis, process documentation, quality control, project management, process automation and quality assurance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement process improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of Chesapeake Minerals.

Identify optimal plant conditions for peak plant performance.
Ensure product quality targets are achieved.
Objectives:
Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and ensure product quality and safety.
Assist in the development, implementation, and management of CAPEX and OPEX projects as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of new processes, technologies and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements in all process engineering activities.
Collect, monitor and analyze process data to identify trends for the development solutions and procedures for achieving optimal performance targets and reliability.
Perform plant operator duties when required
Tasks:
Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of processes to identify areas for improvement and the recommendation of appropriate solutions.
Collect product samples, test and analyze results to identify, document and communicate process targets and operational limits.
Design and implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and ensure improve product quality.
Collaborate with managers, operators, and quality control teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, run time, yield and scrap rate and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.
Identify and implement process control measures, including statistical process control (SPC) techniques, to ensure consistent quality and reduce process variation.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
Lead process validation activities, including protocol development, execution and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Participate in cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive measures.
Provide training and guidance to production teams on new processes, procedures and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 7:00am – 4:00pm
Flexibility will be required as early mornings, evenings and weekends may be required from time to timeRequirements:
