Die Repair Machinist

A manufacturing company has an opportunity available for a Die Repair Machinist. Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime on Friday as needed.

Responsibilities:

Make Repairs to Die Cast Tooling and make new slides, cores, ejector pins, and pinions

Set-up and operate Manual Mill, Lathe, and Grinding Machines

Work from drawings and use precision measuring devices

Clean die cavities, polish molds, and cores, and adjust gates as needed

Review production schedule and die repair list to make sure dies are ready for production

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Must have a minimum 3 yearsâ foundry or equivalent experience

Must have at least 3 years of die repair experience

Must be able to operate a tow motor

Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to solve problems and multi-task

Must be able to work together as a team, be organized, and able to prioritize

Must have steel toed footwear

Must be able to work overtime when needed
