Our Impact: Age Range of Students: 11 to 40 years old.
Enrolled Students: 800 plus Volunteer Team: 88 teachers and 8 mentors, from 24 countries.
We are beginning our recruitment drive for English instructors for our upcoming semester, which will run from the third week of July 2025 to the third week of November 2025.
We are currently looking for committed and passionate volunteers to join our teaching team during this period.
Interviews are now underway, and we warmly welcome expressions of interest from those who would like to contribute to our mission of providing high quality English education to Afghan girls and women.
Volunteer Requirements and Expectations: Here’s an overview of the role and what to expect: Programme Goals: We offer 6 levels of English classes and 2 levels of mentoring, designed as a pathway and finishing school.
This programme helps girls secure scholarships for degrees abroad or online and prepares them for remote career opportunities.
Semester Commitment: Volunteers are required to commit to 1 semester.
Our next semester starts from the 3rd week of July to the 3rd week of November 2025.
We request that you remain responsive to emails throughout this period.
Weekly Commitment: 2 lessons per week, each lasting 1 hour and scheduled at least 2 days apart (e.g.1 hour on Monday, and 1 hour on Thursday). Additionally, 2 hours per week are allocated for lesson preparation or student support, bringing the total weekly commitment to 4 hours.
You have the flexibility to choose the days and time of the lessons that best fits your schedule.
Class Size: Each online classroom will have a maximum of 15 girls.
Materials: All lesson materials will be provided to you, and we also encourage teachers to curate lessons in their own style.
Support and Training: Volunteers will receive onboarding and ongoing support to ensure they feel confident in delivering lessons and supporting their students.
Student Feedback: Teachers will be required to provide a midterm progress report and a final progress report for each student.
These reports help track student development and ensure they receive the support they need to succeed.
Responsibilities: Lesson Planning and Teaching: Deliver engaging and interactive English lessons tailored to students' needs, using our structured curriculum.
Student Assessment: Monitor progress through assignments and participation, providing constructive feedback.
Classroom Management: Foster a supportive and interactive learning environment.
Individual Support: Offer one-on-one help to students who need extra guidance.
Collaboration: Work with co-teachers and administrative staff to optimize class placements and support.
Communication: Keep students updated on schedules and progress.
Language Development: Focus on enhancing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Feedback and Reporting: Share progress reports and feedback with our team to ensure quality education.
Class Scheduling: Coordinate and adjust class times to fit the needs of students, ensuring efficient use of time.
